Zookeeper of the Week 2/15: Zookeeper Tizzie

Starting today, every Tuesday we will be spotlighting one of you, our amazing Zookeepers who make Zoo World and our Community so great.

This week, we get to meet Zookeeper Tizzie, our very first Zookeeper of the Week! Aside from an adorable name, she also loves cats, is a proud mother and wife, and her daughter was once robbed… by a llama! What silly zoo animals. Read on to discover more about Zookeeper Tizzie – and I must say, she looks dashing in purple!

Hello, Tizzie, Where are you from?
Born in New Orleans, LA, but have lived in Petal, MS for the last 14 years.

About how long have you been playing Zoo World?
About a year and a half give or take.

Wow, I’m so happy to hear you’ve been with us for that long! What’s your favorite part of Zoo World?
That’s a hard one. My ZooMates are the best and they can make you feel like you might not be so alone in the world after all. Even though you have never met, someone out there cares about you enough to help you out, even if it is only a click on a mission or an animal you mentioned you would like to have it shows they care. Well I guess I was wrong… that wasn’t hard at all.

Since we’re all animal lovers, if you could be any animal, what would you be?
A cat! They can be obnoxious, sneaky, solitary, and lovable, warm, and alluring all at the same time. Plus, I really want to know why cat’s purr.

What’s your favorite animal-related memory? (a trip to a zoo? a favorite pet?)
I have a lot but I guess I would have to say the time when we were at the zoo with our oldest daughter and she was standing by the llama pen and had turned to call to me and the llama leaned over and proceeded to steal the large cup of soda from her extended hand with his lips then turn it up to drink her soda. The look on her face and the people around there, reactions were priceless.

Aside from Zoo, what are you passionate about?
My job. May it be mothering, marriage, nursing, or even my play job zoo keeping! I like to think I am passionate about anything I commit to or enjoy.

What’s your favorite quote, movie, and book?
Quote: “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a Gift: That’s why we call it the Present” -Eleanor Roosevelt
Movie: The Wizard of Oz
Book: Gone with the Wind

And, finally, what makes the world go ’round?
Well technically the gravitational pull of the earth orbit and its movement around the sun or some such drivel. But as a warm and fuzzy person speaking I will say it’s LOVE…

Thank you for sharing with us a piece of your life, Zookeeper Tizzie! You’re doing a fantastic job as a Zookeeper and I hope you keep your passions alive. Love is sure to keep your world spinning!
