Zookeeper of the Week 7/19: Zookeeper Melissa

This week, we get to meet Zookeeper Melissa! Aside playing Zoo from the beginning, she also has a daughter who’s striving to be a Zookeeper! A family that zoos together, stays together. Be sure to read on to discover more about Zookeeper Melissa and hear about her favorite San Diego Zoo resident!


1. Where are you from?
Sunny Southern California

2. How long have you been playing Zoo World?
About 2 years.

3. What’s your favorite part of Zoo World?
Collecting all of the different kinds of animals and reading all of the cool facts about them.

4. If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would be almost any kind of bird because I would love to fly like a bird!

5. What’s your favorite animal-related memory? (a trip to a zoo? a favorite pet?)
I LOVE the World Famous San Diego ZOO! There are a lot of good memories from there. But here is a special one…when my daughter was only about 9 months old, she pointed out a certain elephant. We have since found out that elephant’s name and she ALWAYS wants to go see THAT elephant! The elephants name is Devi and my daughter wants to be a zoo keeper when she grows up so she can take care of Devi!

6. What are you passionate about?
My children is number 1! And helping people in general.

7. What’s your favorite quote, food, music, movie, and book?
