I have so many memories of our pets we have had. One special one was that when a barn cat of one of my mom’s co-workers was killed and had a litter of kittens, she brought them into our house to see if our cat would nurse them who just had some kittens. She wouldn’t but our dog Shorty who had some puppies did. We even have a picture. Shorty always came when we called here Kitty-kitty. She even once jumped up on the sink where we tried to hide the cat food from her. She was part beage and part weiner dog. That was a big jump for her.
